Dr. Harry Blair is Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Bucknell University. His B.A. is from Cornell and his Ph.D. from Duke. He has worked as academic political scientist and as consultant, mostly in South Asia. His published topics have included agriculture, forestry, civil society, decentralization, elections, political parties, and macro-level political economy. He has taught at Bucknell, Colgate, Cornell, Rutgers and Yale Universities, and has served several longer-term assignments at the United States Agency for International Development, also as a consultant with many international development organizations. Currently he is finishing a book project on development in Bangladesh.
