Dr. Yasmin Ahmed

Dr. Yasmin Hemayet Ahmed is a Bachelor of Medicine and has almost forty years of senior and strategic level experience in leading organizations and designing and supporting programs. Her areas of experience cover public health research, organization development, program development, management, consulting and working as independent board member in development organizations. She headed Marie Stopes Bangladesh for 15 years before being appointed as Vice President and Senior Regional Director for Asia and Asia-Pacific at Marie Stopes International, London, UK. An accomplished communicator and effective facilitator, Dr. Ahmed gave up full time employment in August 2012, and  is presently engaged in freelance consulting in various areas including strategic planning, program evaluation, organizational assessments, facilitation of policy dialogues and workshops. Since the last four years she is working as an Advisor to Bangladesh Health Watch, a platform of experts interested to catalyze positive changes in the health sector through evidence based advocacy.
