Dr. Michael Bowler is an Associate Professor for Global Studies in the Department of Global Studies and World Languages at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, where he teaches courses on global studies, poverty alleviation and sustainable development, South and Southeast Asia, Asian international relations, and working across cultures. He is a Trustee of the American Institute of Bangladesh Studies (AIBS) since around 2005. His other positions at the AIBS include Vice President (2013-2016), first Junior Fellow (1991-1992), and Senior Fellow (2016). He has published many articles in academic journals and co-edited four books, published by McGraw-Hill.
