This annual event brings together all the Bangladeshis and their families living in the greater Seattle area for a day of fun, games, food, laughter, and outdoors. BDI remains committed to supporting and promoting cultural events such as the picnic, magazine publication efforts and other cultural functions

organizes cultural programs BDI hired prominent Bangladeshi singers Kaderi Kibria and Dulal Bhoumik for its International Conference of 1995: http://www.bdiusa.org/activities/conference.shtml It was a very successful and enjoyable cultural program where the performance included modern, Tagore, as well as folk songs. Prominent Tobla and Dotara players accompanied the singers in the program.
